I’ve recently thrown out most of my wardrobe to force my hand at saving and investing in quality wardrobe pieces. As a result, I’ve been finding so many ways to recycle looks using what’s left of my closet, like paring a beach-esque white shirt with loose-fitting shorts. Initially I felt too under-dressed to leave the house and run my errands, but thankfully I could pull the look together with my well-loved leather tote and new Gino Paoli open-toed boots.
It takes some time to adjust to new shoes, especially when they’re in a style you wouldn’t normally (read: ever) wear, so I’ve been doing my best to get comfortable in them. Aside for that, I love how these shoes can dress up a casual look, and how easily they fit with most items in my wardrobe. I’m also looking forward to seeing how well these boots work as a transitional piece from summer to autumn, but you’ll have to wait and see because it’s just gone summer here in Cape Town and for now I’m taking full advantage of that.
